Description
One Thousand Springs created by the Japanese artist Chiharu Shiota, was on display in the Temperate House when I visited, as part of Kew’s Japan Festival. This large-scale art installation consisted of 5,000 haikus, suspended by threads from the roof.
Whilst most visitors marvelled at the display, I was focused on this composition - showing the contrast between the artwork, and the green foliage of the plants.
