I returned to the Clackamas River valley, in the Mount Hood National Forest - I was back there with the idea of further exploring this region which is rich full of beautiful autumn photography opportunities.

A small side road led me to a very quiet spot, where I discovered this tree in a bend. I spent a long time, perched on a rock by the roadside, composing as many images as possible; I had rarely seen such a nice combination of colours and background texture and I wanted to get the most of the experience.
