The highly toxic Amanita muscaria (fly agaric) mushroom is native to the UK, and I found this wonderful specimen growing in woodlands, in my local nature reserve.

I could not resist taking its photo, with the cascading background bokeh pouring through the trees – it was like a scene from a fairy tale. To actually get this capture, I had to lie on the ground amongst the leaves, using my handy roll-up mat.
