In the summer, this is a much-photographed view of the lake Llyn Padarn - but in winter one can have the peace and solitude to appreciate a late-rising sun. In the distance to the left is the smoke trail from a steam train too far away to hear, and over the snow-covered mountains - one can sometimes see cloud drifting over their edges.

Ice crystals in the thin clouds can create great light, and I've used a 10-stop ND filter to smooth out the few water ripples and give movement to the clouds.
