I wanted to capture a shot of the city by night, so I spent the day exploring the city outskirts, which led me into parkland surrounding Taipei. I fought my way through the bushes to find this view and then returned in the evening with camera equipment. I spent almost two hours watching the light fade over the city followed by the gradual electric-fired illumination of all the buildings; it was a real joy to watch. I loved the way the little path, from up in the hills, provided a glowing route through the trees and back to the city.
