I love nothing more than walking around Cannon Hall in autumn, the colours in the trees are just amazing and I wanted to produce my own capture.

The weather forecast looked very promising so I got up before dawn to get the first light, but when I arrived there was heavy rain, luckily the rain blew over quickly and after trying a variety of compositions, everything fell into place just as the sun came out - lighting the tree in a fantastic morning light. This contrasted with the dark clouds behind, giving the autumn colours a real boost.
