Steve Elliott

About Steve Elliott
My first love is landscape photography. I am at my happiest with the wind in my hair exploring the coast or high ground of the British Isles. I use mainly Canon equipment and find that it is durable enough to cope with the hostile conditions in which I often find myself. Black and white photography is a great passion of mine that dates back some 30 odd years when I helped set-up a dark-room in the secondary school that I attended - the contrast between modern computer based image processing techniques and the use of chemical baths in a traditional darkroom profound indeed.
No formal photography qualifications. Many years ago I won an inter-schools competition judged by the late, great photo-journalist Bert Hardy. I took a foundation course in Fine Art many years ago followed by a degree in Philosophy. I have spent 20 years working in the Advertising and Television industries, but recently I have returned to my first love: photography.
