About Shai Ginott

In the last few years, After a 30-year career as a nature and landscape photographer, I attached my two passions, photography, and gardening. Sometimes I start my day with a camera and other times with secateurs. More than ever I am dependent on the weather, earth, and soil. Taking time, and seeing the beauty is a daily practice.I use SONY a6500, 17-70 mm Sony lens, 75-300mm Sony lens, and 90 mm macro.I photograph with available sunlight only. 


Shai Ginott is a biologist by training from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem and a self-educated photographer. She began her photographic career as a landscape photographer at the Israel Nature Reserve Authority. Shai also graduated from the Heschel Center for Environmental Learning and Leadership’s fellows' program and from Naggar School’s photo-therapy program, in Jerusalem.Her photographs have appeared extensively in newspapers, periodicals, calendars photo-poetry books, and others. Shai has lectured, taught, and lead "drawing with camera" workshops and long-term programs for Hi-Tec photography students in Israel. She is a judge in photo contests and a curator. In 2021 she curated the nature exhibition “Global Nature.
