About Mary Payne

Over the past 10 years or so, I've become increasingly keen on photography. I'm particularly interested in nature and wildlife, I love to travel and specialise in taking abstracts and macros.Since 2012, I have used a Canon EOS 600D with Sigma lenses.

I have written a guest blog for the RSPB and some of my bird and butterfly pictures have been chosen as illustrations in books and scientific papers. In Spring 2017, I won the CEWE Photoworld 'Walk on the Wildside' competition. In 2018, I won the Bucks Berks and Oxon Wildlife Trust's Photo competition and my photo 'Cold Feet' was chosen by public vote as the Humane Research Trust charity Christmas card. As of October 2018, I am shortlisted for two major competitions.
