To think our own thoughts and live our own lives in a way that is not possible for those keeping up with the crowd.” (Laura Ingalls Wild)Photography is one of the ways I escape to those ‘quiet places’ both mentally and physically. It creates moments in my life that enable me to reconnect and rediscover the world around me. Rather than reducing the world to a view through a lens, it expands my vision by encouraging me to stop and look and find time to appreciate the beauty in the everyday things we often pass by.My images are an expression of this quiet time; they evoke a sense of introspection and of time slowed down, creating a space for the mind as well as for the eye. I hope they give you pause for thought in an otherwise hectic world.
