About Kevin Peacock

Have rediscovered 35mm film photography since I retired from my 42 years Live Events career in December 2023.When I moved to Kent in 2022 I found my old Pentax ME Super that I purchased in 1979 and a number of prime lenses in a cardboard box that I had forgotten about. So I had the camera serviced, bought some Ilford XP2 400 film and started shooting. Although the camera is aperture priority auto I have always used it in manual mode having fun with the sunny F16 rule! After about a year shooting with this camera I bought a good Pentax MX and a fantastic pancake lens and started experienting with different film. Trying out Kodak Portra 160, Ilford HP5 + and FP4 +. I really enjoy getting out and about in my part of this beautiful county and focussing in the main on shooting in Black and White. I am a total amateur and still learning, but really relish the slow approach to taking pictures. No DSLR previewing for me. I try to keep post shot editing to a minimum by framing live. I love the challenge of shot selection on the hoof.I have not entered any competitions before or shown my work so this is a new adventure for me at 71 years young!
