About Anita Bower

My favorite photographic subjects are flowers and details.  Most of my flower photographs are portraits featuring only one blossom.   I often bring flowers in from my garden to photograph near a window.  I always use natural light.  I enjoy using texture overlays in post-processing to enhance the beauty of the flower.  A new world of possibility opened up a few months ago when I began printing my own work.My gear is simple:  Olympus OM-D E-M5 Mark II mirrorless camera, Olympus 60mm f2.8 macro lens, Tamron 14-150 f3.5-5.8 zoom lens, Slik tripod.

I have been a serious amateur since 2007, when I began my photo blog.  I've held various positions in the Chester County Camera Club and participate in the monthly competitions.  My printed and framed photographs are shown in local galleries and I sell several each year.  I have won numerous competitions, have had a three-artist show of Amish photographs, and am pleased that my photos hang in homes in various states.
