I've been taking photos all my life since I was about 11yrs old, and have been a competent photographer for many years, but it is only for the past 4yrs that I have wanted to be more than that.  Now I want to produce work that is comparable with the pros.  That has meant up-grading my kit.  I am currently using a Fujifilm XT2 camera with the excellent XF16-55mm zoom and XF55-200mm zoom.  These are producing the quality of shot I was seeking but it is also down to getting out there.I am still experimenting photographically but having been a gardener all my life and am beginning to realise that plants are what I know best and should take advantage of that knowledge.  But I love landscape, macro and the challenge of capturing a wedding, an insect, a bird in flight, or a texture of a shell.  I will try creative mood shots, artistic free-style, precise record shots, whatever I find - capturing beauty in the moment.
