I retired from a very enjoyable but demanding job in August 2021. Literally after a 50 year gap I decided to resurrect my photography hobby. I looked at digital photography and realised that (to quote Star Trek) "its photography Jim but not as I knew it". I have now spent hundreds of hours on the internet/reading books  (I did not know what a pixel was) learning everything I can about photography. While I am purely amateur for me this does not excuse amateur results I want to strive to achieve professional results. I specialise in gardens, National trust, RHS etc I shoot RAW but my processing is light touch using Canon Digital Photo Professional. I am very lucky I shoot with a Canon EOS R5, lenses are Canon RF 14-35, RF 24-105 and RF 70-200mm.I always use a tripod with a geared head. My style is reasonably traditional but I do try to achieve my own look to my images.         

My whole career has been spent working in the Motor Trade. for the later half of my career I had the privilege of managing one of the most highly regarded Motability Sales teams in the country, and I had the good fortune to work with superb people, people I could trust totally. Having now retired I needed something to keep my brain active, hence the photography. For my age I am incredibly fit and my photography helps to keep me healthy.
