International Garden Photographer of the Year is thrilled to return to exhibit in the grounds of the world-famous Blenheim Palace in summer 2022. This will be the 4th consecutive year the exhibition will grace the lawns at Blenheim. Blenheim Palace is the home of the 12th Duke and Duchess of Marlborough and the birthplace of Sir Winston Churchill. This masterpiece of 18th-century Baroque architecture boasts over 300 years of history and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, surrounded by more than 2,000 acres of ‘Capability' Brown landscaped Parkland and Formal Gardens. IGPOTY returns to Barrington Court An atmospheric fragment of old Somerset, Barrington Court was the home of an extraordinary family, who beautifully restored the gardens and estate in the 1920s. Together they created an elegant home, productive gardens and a farm estate around the core of a derelict 16th century building. The intention of Colonel Lyle in 1917 was to create a working model mediaeval manor estate, with orchards, avenues and the wider landscape reflecting this vision for a rural estate within the Somerset countryside. Partially derelict farmyards were transformed into luxuriant flower gardens with the help of Gertrude Jekyll’s planting plans and Elsie ‘Ronnie’ Lyle’s passion for planting.... Read more

IGPOTY Exhibition 15 is returning to North Norfolk Wander through Sheringham Park and you'll discover why it became the personal favourite of its designer, Humphry Repton. Visit the return of the ever-popular annual IGPOTY outdoor exhibition to see a selection of stunning large format winning images in a glorious outdoor setting. Famous for its vast collection of Rhododendron and Azalea, the last owner, Tom Upcher held Rhododendron champagne parties in the '50s to show them off. Ladies would arrive in their fine gowns, some wearing Wellington boots to walk down the main carriageway, sipping champagne and admiring the colours. Today, you can climb to the top of the towers to experience breathtaking views of this beautiful landscape, the North Norfolk coast and maybe spot a steam train passing through. Spend a day at Sheringham Park - exploring 1,000 acres of varying habitat including woodland, parkland and clifftop. Look out for wildlife, 3 species of deer can be seen alongside a wide variety of birds and butterflies.... Read more

The launch exhibition of the 16th International Garden Photographer of the Year competition is planned to return to Kew Gardens! Featuring a selection of higher placed winners across all main categories, 'Portfolios' and all five IGPOTY Photo Projects (drawing from 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places + Finalists only). A selection from certain Special Awards are exhibited at IGPOTY curator's discretion. A selection of higher-placed winning photographs from 'Captured at Kew 16' will also be on display (exclusively at Kew Gardens). Enjoy exploring a selection of amazing award-winning images from across the world, displayed outdoors and in large format. International Garden Photographer of the Year is proud to return to tour to the spectacular Royal Gardens of Herrenhausen for the fourth year running! A selection of images from special award 'The Beauty of Herrenhausen Gardens' will also be accompanying this exhibition, so if you haven't visited before, make sure you plan your visit to one of Europe's finest gardens. Enjoy a walk in the Royal Gardens of Herrenhausen, one of the most beautiful parks in Europe. Discover the grandeur of a stately home coupled with stunning gardens and art. The Museum Schloss Herrenhausen can be found in the recently restored palace, which reveals a remarkable insight into the process of creation and evolution of Herrenhausen. The Grosser Garten impresses with its baroque ornaments and its splendid fountains. The Berggarten holds many botanical treasures including a wonderful collection of orchids and other exotic plants in the glasshouses. Hidcote is one of the country’s most celebrated gardens. Covering an area of 10.5 acres the garden takes visitors on a journey through intimate formal areas revealing a different atmosphere or new vista at every turn. Major Lawrence Johnston, the creator of Hidcote Garden, was a passionate plantsman and talented garden designer. Using Hidcote as a ‘blank canvas’ Lawrence Johnston designed in phases from 1907 to 1938. He furnished borders with newly discovered plants and exotic rarities gathered during plant hunting expeditions from around the world. In 1948 Lawrence Johnston gifted Hidcote, now a Grade I listed garden, to the National Trust, who continue to care for it for future generations to enjoy.... Read more
