The flower was actually in a friend's garden and with her permission I picked it and brought it home to photograph as the weather was dull, windy and uninspiring for outdoor photography plus she lived too far away for me to pop back should the light become suitable. I love the colour and shape of the Cornflower and find it intriguing - for me it is a very photogenic flower for macro photography and its complicated structure is a delightful challenge.
