Description
One sunny September morning as I strolled through a field below my house, I noticed a brightly coloured butterfly flitting between some thistle heads. It was a painted lady. As I got closer and crouched down, I realised that I could catch the sun shining through, and illuminating the colourful patterns on its wings. It was positioned so that the shape of the thistle head echoed the shape of the butterfly's wings and antennae. The whole arrangement was so beautiful that I photographed it.
