Tangled Creek is in the Mid Geyser Basin area of Yellowstone National Park. We hired a snow coach to get us here and this allowed unprecedented access to this area. The combination of cold temperatures and hot geysers made for atmospheric conditions which is why we visited during the winter season. The stark combination of petrified trees, snow, steam and light was perfect.
