This unique tree likely escaped logging due to its shape which also makes it a great photographic subject. This image is all about the lone cypress, a character-rich tree I was previously aware of. A canoe and waterproof bags were used to ensure transportation of gear in the lake would be easier and stress-free. The canoe also allowed for quicker movement in the deeper water to paint the tree with light from the side and not standard front-lighting.
