After spending two fruitless hours looking for early morning autumn pictures, I was on the point of giving up. However, as I rounded a bend in the path, this picture was developing before me. The subjects were walking towards a pool of sunlight. The dog was close on the subject's heels, giving a jumbled image. As I waited, the dog moved away just as they entered the pool of light and I pressed the shutter.
