Description
The Giant Steps are a series of large grass terraces built during the extensive reworking of Greenwich Park from 1660. They are now a very popular place from which to enjoy the spectacular views across London, from the Queen's House (National Maritime Museum) to the distant city skyline and O2 arena. This was a warm summer evening in late July, and on the platform above me tourists jostled for space to watch the sunset.
