Description
Salix babylonica var. pekinensis, commonly known as dragon's claw willow is not exclusive to China, having been collected, along with many of our familiar garden trees and shrubs, in the 19th century by European botanists. I liked the shape of the trees, the light of the late afternoon/early evening sun and the reflection of the gold and grey sky from the temporary tin cladding of the building. I waited a short time for foreground interest: a cyclist wearing a contrasting colour.
