Description
I had been photographing, over several months, the behaviour of a golden orb weaver spider in my garden. Early one morning, I was very fortunate to capture the possibly unique, unfolding, life and death drama of the spider and its gecko prey. The unbelievable scene encapsulated contrasting textures and colours, as well as, elements of life and death, beauty and horror! I had been photographing the spider over several months - standing on a ladder.
