Wildflower Meadow at Sunrise

Description
Ox-eye daisies and meadow buttercups surface through feathery grasses as the sun breaks through the early morning mist. Horses graze on rough grass nearby. The wildflower meadow is dominated by ox-eye daisies (Leucanthemum vulgare) and grasses, with a smattering of meadow buttercups (Ranunculus acris) and sorrel (Rumex acetosa). The time and place came together with a quality of light that occurs only rarely. The horses ambled into shot and created the perfect focal point. I took a number of images and this one had a balance of detail to overall impact, light to shade. It was one of those magical moments that make getting up and out before dawn truly worthwhile.
