I think these flowers are so photogenic especially close up, their soft colour and their attractive, neat design make them a delight to capture. I wanted to create a softness to the image so chose a large aperture in camera to produce a narrow focal plane, throwing the background and foreground out of focus whilst keeping the central area sharp.
