Description
Dahlia ‘Bodacious’ is a “heavy-headed” or “giant” hybrid (flowers more than 10 inches in diameter). Blooms are fire-engine red with yellow showing on the edges and underneath of each petal, giving it the illusion of having tongues of fire. In the classification system of the American Dahlia Society, ‘Bodacious is “Informal Decorative” - its ray florets are twisted, or curled, or wavy creating an affect that the petals are not flat, and the petals may be partially revolute with their arrangement appearing irregular.
