Description
After reading an article on deliberate camera movement in Outdoor Photgraphy Magazine, I decided to try some shots using this technique. Going out into the garden, the California poppies seemed to offer an ideal subject. I used an overhead viewpoint and as the sunshine was really bright, I set the ISO to 100 and aperture to f/22 to give the slowest possible shutter speed. Having tried a vertical movement on some trees in an earlier attempt, I decided to try rotating the camera. This was the best of quite a few shots and I decided a square crop gave the best final result.
