The reflection of an autumnal tree creates a striking mural, adding nature's colour, warmth and softness to transform the stark lines of a contemporary city building. I researched modern city buildings with contemporary design and plenty of glass, that might create interesting reflections, and made myself a trail map with key landmarks for a day's photography, starting from Bank tube station. I obviously hoped there would be some greenery around as well, but didn't know until I got there. I took in some of the buildings I'd noted, but then just wandered, keeping my eyes open for interesting sights. This was one of those lucky moments at the end of the day, arriving at a busy junction with the sun catching the autumn colours on the tree as it was reflected on the side of one of the many modern office blocks in the area.
