Even though there were lots of beautiful blooming flowers in my friend’s garden, I was most attracted by these ferns. I liked how various hues of green fronds were interspersed with rows of sori (spores) on their undersides. Positioning some fronds in the foreground, I then manually focused on the sori on a leaf behind to achieve the desired effect.
