One of my favourite spots in the garden is the round bed, which seems to attract lots of butterflies and bees in summer. Late one afternoon in August, as we were leaving the garden, I saw this small copper butterfly (backlit), posing perfectly on the blue Eryngium flowers; I liked the colour combination of the two subjects.
