Description
Rockford Common is an area of open heathland and woodland, and is rich in wildlife – it is designated as a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI). The New Forest is well known for its vibrant displays of heather in late summer and Rockford Common is a popular spot with photographers. Whilst shooting there one morning, I spotted this composition, with the zigzag pattern of heather and bracken, together with the juxtaposition of sapling and mature trees.
