I was photographing a deep hoarfrost, when I came across this old and weathered tree that reached out across the path I was on. Its gnarled trunk and thick roots defiantly clung to a slope relatively ice-free, whilst its limbs and smaller branches were coated in a white frosting, in this bitterly cold winter scene.
