Description

The River Po is the longest river in Italy at 405 miles. In the past, the floods have been the cause of great damage and decades ago embankments were built to contain them. The River goes through vicious cycles of droughts and floods. I took this photo of the semi-submerged poplars and chose a long exposure to get a watercolour effect in the reflection on the water. Nature reminds us of its strength and provides a warning message for the planet.
