While walking at Eridge Rocks, a sandstone formation set in mixed woodland in the High Weald, I came across a fallen tree alongside another standing above it, both beautifully illuminated by the soft, diffused light. The rocks at this Sussex Wildlife Trust Nature Reserve are designated a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI), due to the community of plants growing on them.
