This wrinkled peach mushroom was growing on a fallen tree branch, where some of the bark had come away. With the amount of ‘guttation’ droplets, the gills and intricate veins on the cap, I knew I wanted to fill the frame with a composition to maximise the amount of these details. To help with this – I took a series of seventy-three bracketed images (using a soft diffused flash), which I focus stacked together.
