I was lying on the ground doing a focus stack of this grisette mushroom, when a passing family spotted a toad next to me. I have kept frogs for over 20 years, so knew I wouldn’t harm it by picking it up, and placing it on top of the mushroom – it sat there for a good ten minutes surveying its surroundings before going on its way.
