I grew this cultivar of poppy – Papaver rhoeas ‘Amazing Grey’ and just loved its delicate mauve colour. When I photographed these flowers they were just beginning to fade and loose their petals, I’ve tried to create a dreamy atmosphere and show the lovely texture of the semi-double petals. My camera was placed on a tripod and a manual focus stacking rail, on a windowsill facing my garden. This image has been focus stacked from thirty shots, to show the delicacy of the petals and to blur the background of plants outside.
