Re-Ink-Carnation
The Beauty of PlantsImage details - Re-Ink-Carnation
Description
This photo is part of my ‘Transience’ project where I celebrate the meanings of flowers, associated folklore and legends, and uses – both modern and historic, demonstrated through use of colours and techniques to create a ‘personality’ of each flower, based upon my findings. Here, I submerged the carnations in a tank of water, adding milk, food colourings and ink. Carnations are known as the flowers of the Gods in Greek mythology, and are associated with; devotion, fascination, distinction and love.
