When I photographed Derwentwater (Keswick’s lake), in the Lake District, the scene was nothing short of magical. From above, the serene waters stretched out, surrounded by lush woodlands and the dramatic contours of the hills. At the heart of the lake, a small boathouse island stood as a quiet reminder of nature's balance, its greenery a testament to the vital role plants play in our ecosystem. Capturing this view from the sky revealed an extraordinary harmony between land, water, and air, with the island serving as both a home for wildlife and a symbol of the interconnectedness that sustains our natural world.
