I had been waiting anxiously for autumn colour to appear in the trees and shrubs around Aberglasney's estate buildings. As if by magic, the colours finally arrived and coincided with a change in the weather. Suddenly the conditions were in my favour enabling me to attempt the image that I wanted. The grazing sheep in the background, helped to create a bucolic atmosphere.

I chose to capture five portrait images, using a short telephoto lens to provide some compression to my composition. I then combined the five images to create this panorama.
