Early on this June day, the colourful English roses shone softly in the morning light of Jay Robin's Rose Garden (originally designed by Robin Williams), at Borde Hill Garden. I combined two photos together to achieve the best lighting conditions.

The David Austin varieties; 'The Pilgrim', 'Imogen', 'The Poet's Wife' and 'Susan Williams-Ellis' are framed by low hedge edging. The sun was just rising behind the trees, casting a golden glow on the ornamental cherry and roses below in the background. It was such a peaceful and calm atmosphere, that I really wanted to capture in this photo.
