This shot is part of my ‘Transience’ project where I research the history, uses, cultural aspects and folklore of flowers, and then apply colours and techniques to express what I have found, in the hope of showing the personality of the flower.

For this photograph I used the submerged flowers technique, submerging the Iris in water, then adding food colourings, inks or other liquids.
