A juvenile greenfinch on a flowering globe thistle. I placed a pot of these Echinops near to our garden bird feeders, in the hope the birds might perch on them before using the feeders. I was rewarded when this individual briefly landed on one of the flowers, allowing me enough time to capture a few photographs.
