In the woods of Mount Etna on the island of Sicily, I photographed these tiny fungi that were growing on a dead tree trunk. To get a decent depth of field, I had to use focus stacking.

Every time I observe mushrooms, due to the atmosphere of the woods in the autumn period, I see them as magical – so I added in particles to simulate mushroom spores – completing the fairy-tale.
