Summer Sunset at the Salt Cellar

Description
It was a Friday evening as I walked over Derwent Edge, heading to the classic Peak District location the Salt Cellar rock formation for sunset – the Back Tor sits at 538 m. The light was stunning and with the heather as good as any I’ve seen, I was grinning with pleasure as I photographed this iconic scene. It was a good three hours walk to get there and back, but when you get conditions like this, it’s certainly worth the effort.
