Magnolia Blooms Across the Hazy Valley
Inspiring EmmettsImage details - Magnolia Blooms Across the Hazy Valley
Description
From the top of the bluebell banks, at some distance away, the last of the magnolia blooms were visible at eye height on trees growing on the valley floor below. The light was hazy and this magnolia tree was unobscured by most of the other trees which were not yet in leaf.
The greens and blues in the photograph have been desaturated in post-processing to leave just the pinks of the blossoms, this plus the soft focus and motion blur of the petals provides an element of mystery. The image was photographed at around noon but the muted colours may suggest it was taken much later in the day.
