Had it been surrounded by green vegetation, then this grasshopper would have remained unnoticed. However, as I was taking pictures of the flowers, I then noticed its eyes looking at me; we were both taken aback, but we carried on with our respective activities.

I love the colour contrast between the bright green of my subject and the intense purple/orange hues of the flowers.
