Description
I was especially drawn to the prairie-style planting on the upper terrace in the walled garden designed by Tom Stuart-Smith. It looked wonderful in the evening, when sunlight illuminated the Digitalis, Salvia, Geranium, Phlomis and grasses. The tall, upright coniferous columns of Taxus baccata 'Fastigiata', provide a strong contrast and interest throughout the seasons.
