Description
To explore Las Pozas is a mental journey, as one tries to understand the psyche and surrealist ideas of Edward James reflected in the sculptures and structures.
This is made more difficult by the decay evident in the garden, as maintenance is a Sisyphean task; this is in part due to the rampant growth of the subtropical forest, which quickly obscures sight lines and details. There are hopes to fully restore the garden, but perhaps there is more beauty in its decay.
