The Protea caffra subsp. gazensis is known commonly as the Manica sugarbush and is endemic to this area of Mozambique. I captured this amazing plant at sunset; it is one of 74 amazing endemic plant species or subspecies, in this region, most associated with soils derived from white quartzite sandstone rocks.
